Hi, I am Em, a Person Centred Counsellor based in Bacup, Lancashire, welcome to my website!
I work with both young people and adults and offer individual confidential Face to Face, Online and Telephone Counselling to anyone aged 13+ throughout the UK.
There may be many reasons you find yourself here visiting my website.
Looking for a counsellor can be a daunting experience and you may have lots of questions for me. I am a friendly, down to earth Counsellor who will offer you a safe, contained space with a smile and relaxed environment to explore what is happening in your life. During our sessions together you will be shown respect, understanding and patience, to allow you the time and space to speak freely and openly. I’m not here to be a fixer, nor is my role to tell you what you need to do. My role is to give you time and space to tell your story, help you to learn how to make positive changes in your life and explore any strategies together that you might find helpful to enable you to take control and move forward in your life. Together we can build a warm, safe and trustworthy relationship.
Counselling can help to explore a wide range of issues and I am passionate about offering you the opportunity to explore these. Below is a list of some of the things I can help you with. Although there are many other areas in which I can help.
Working in a Person-Centred approach enables me to take your lead by ensuring you encounter a safe, confidential environment where you feel heard, accepted and valued for who you are. I hold the belief that the strength of the relationship between the counsellor and client is one of the most important factors for you to be able to find a way of life which is more rewarding.
Please feel free to explore my website to find out more about me and my approach. If you have any questions or believe counselling would be helpful, please get in touch with me. I offer a FREE 20-minute telephone appointment at a time suitable for both of us to have an informal chat about how counselling works, an opportunity to find out a little bit of information about each other and for you to ask questions you may have.
